SageSURPASS integrates risk assessment for greater safety

SageSURPASS brings a new concept to hazard identification and risk assessment in an Integrated Safe System of Work (iSSoW) solution that largely eliminates the risk of human error from this critical safety process.

The effective identification of hazards and controls can vary widely in manual processes depending on the experience and knowledge of personnel.

However, with SageSURPASS, operators select the categories of work they are to perform. The system uses data supplied by each client to identify the known hazards for each work category and the controls required to mitigate those risks. Additional hazards and controls can be applied to address specific work circumstances.

As an Integrated Safe System of Work, SageSURPASS then applies site business rules to determine the types of permits and associated certificates required to work safely and minimise risk to your people, plant and production.

The benefit? Clients achieve safer work sites through uniform and comprehensive identification of hazards and controls.

One client found that the SageSURPASS Hazard Identification Risk Assessment tool identified one and a half times the number of hazards and up to four times as many hazard controls as their previous manual processes.

Permit plotting helps reduce risk by providing a graphic view of the location of work parties.
