"We are making some changes to the structure of the business to enable us to offer our clients a greater breadth of products and services than ever before," announced Managing Director, Lynda Bertoli. Sage Technology has entered into a joint venture with Viatek Pty Ltd, a managed print services and managed telecommunications business with a strong regional presence in New South Wales and Victoria. From 1 July 2010, the Technology Support business of Sage Technology will operate in a new jointly owned company called Viatek Sage IT Services Pty Ltd. Sage Technology will continue as a software development company with a strong focus on our safe work software products, SageSURPASS, SageISOLATE and PAS. Viatek Sage IT Services will provide:

Why is Sage changing?Over the past five years, Sage Technology has invested heavily in the development of a strong managed IT infrastructure service offering to our client base. We now have more than 600 desktops and 120 servers under management but our systems and our team have the capacity to support many more. Viatek Pty Ltd is a successful sales-led, services-focused organisation. Entering into a joint venture to become Viatek Sage IT Services Pty Ltd means taht we can continue to grow and evolve our offerings to a wider geographic base. What does it mean for me?It's business as usual! The important thing for our clients is that our commitment to them is unchanged. The people that they have been dealing with in the past will be the same people that they will deal with from 1 July 2010. Our phone numbers, email addresses and Morwell office location remain the same. We will answer the phones as Viatek Sage IT Services and introduce new branding around our new logo:
A number of clients will use both Viatek Sage IT Services and Sage Technology services. This means that you will receive separate invoices. Those clients I have already had the pleasure of speaking with to discuss these changes to our business have provided much encouragement and support.
